2010 is looking to be a busy year. We produced a new catalogue, Christina is painting furiously and our first trade show the Hadrian's Wall Trade Fair was on March 16 in Hexham. This page gives you an idea of what we are doing for the rest of the year.
Having bought a large format printer(up to A1+) for a range of larger prints, Christina began a series of postcard sized paintings called 'Wish You Were Here'. Oh well the printer is useful for printing other artists' work and the small paintings have been very popular.
In June we will be joining in the annual Network Artists in Northumberland open studios event 'The Art Tour'. This year it is more focussed and takes place each weekend in June. We will open 5/6 12/13 19/20 26/27 June from 11 - 5 pm. See Network Artists Northumberland website for details and to get a brochure. Our daughter Cat Moore will be here exhibiting her feltwork. She makes all sorts of practical, yet unusual things from felt. Her blog has more about her work and inspiration..
Christina has been asked to return and exhibit this August in the Forum Cinema's Scott Café in Hexham. It is a very attractive 'Art Deco' cinema and the Scott Café is a great venue for art. Well worth a visit. The Forum also houses Hexham Arts Forum which wants to designate Hexham an Arts Town.
Christina no longer works at the Village Bakery in Melmerby as its artist in residence. However, she now has prints and cards in the Upstairs Gallery.
More of Christina's original paintings, prints and cards are in Off The Wall Gallery in Corbridge. Other originals and prints are at the Bakehouse Gallery in Alnwick.
The Victoria Fearn Gallery in Rhiwbina Cardiff held a successful exhibition of Christina's work last spring. In May they will have prints and cards for sale in the gallery as part of an exhibition.
